Love!

Okay just a quick thought....
I am in love with the fact that;
a) I am going out for dinner tonight with a friend to a restaurant with A/C without the child (that could be a, b, c, and d!).
b) I'm getting a sweet summer tan!
Also, I'm bakin' like a toasted cheezer!

I love this place for many reasons!

I love going for lunch at the mall (or dinner, i guess)! Malcolm thinks I'm a little WT for it, but I can't help it.
When I was little, every summer we would go visit my Grandma in Abbotsford BC and take a day trip with her and my Mom to Bellingham, Washington and every time, without fail, we would go for lunch at the mall. We would meet my Grandma's brother and his wife (who always wore a bad wig even though they had millions) and they would give each of us a baggie of $2.00 in change (even though they had millions).
So I think that's probably why I like it, plus you get to sit and watch people, which is one of my favourite things to do... it runs in the family, right Kayce?
But seriously, I could sit there for hours and I would have today if I didn't have the little lady with me!

Just call me Beth!

Today I was getting ready to go to the beach with my sisters, I put on my suit go into the bathroom to check myself out (cause you know you gotta, you're most likely not going to like what you see but you have to check anyway) and this is what I see... Beth Chapman, minus the do, okay mostly just the hooters! I'm pretty sure I didn't used to look like that!
...I promptly put on my black suit.

I was so Mad...

You know that book by Mercer Meyer, well it's the story of my life. My little lady loves that book and she and Malcolm have changed the words from, I was so mad, to, I was so mummy! Real Mature!
That is not the point of my post, the point is this;
How is it possible for your children know the best (worst) times to have a fit/tantrum?
In the grocery store when the cart is already full, in the doctors office waiting room, at the mall at 10:30 in the morning when only you and the old people are there and like today, when you have a crap load of things to do.
This whole move out of the city to a small town has been an adjustment for me, there is a lot more planning involved in my life now. So when I go "into the city" I usually have a long list of things that I need to get done (buy). Today it included:
-Pick up coffee table (on the other side of the world, seriously it took me at least an hour to get there)
-Choose and pick up paint for le monsters room
-Pick up quilt for previously mentioned monsters new bed
-Buy monster new church clothes (she almost went to church in a mini-dress on Sunday because apparently she's grown ALOT in the last two months)
- Go to Michaels so I can paint the monster a picture for her new bedroom (which I will be posting before and afters pics of in the next couple weeks)
All these things did not get done because somebody had a laying on the ground, screaming, arms flailing temper tantrum in H&M and it wasn't me! So to do the mother thing like I'm supposed to do we promptly went home so she knows that's not okay. Promptly, as in, after we got a blizzard... that still counts as parenting right?
