If I knew then what I know now...

So we have been building a house for the past 11 months and I am now at the point that if another thing goes wrong I will send myself to the loony bin!
We were supposed to be in the house by Christmas, clearly that didn't happen. We have gone through more than one sales person, had to choose, and re-choose, and then choose our finishes again due to the retardedness of every person in the company (with the exception of our site supervisor, which is a relief because hopefully that means at least we will be moving into a soundly constructed home).
The newest drama in the house building saga is my floors, they tiled almost my entire main floor. I'm not sure if the installer was unable to read drawings, or maybe it's the english language in general, so that had to be ripped out and now there is not enough tile left to finish the laundry/mud room and front entrance and the other trades can not finish what they have to do until the floors are done. We'll see how far back that puts our possession date...
Also, every single one of my light fixtures is on back order, except the one in the laundry room, you know the one that nobody will ever see. They also ordered the wrong finish on my bathroom fixtures but apparently now the ones I ordered and paid for are discontinued. Funny how that happens...

Cute, isn't it?

I could go on for days about the problems I have had with this company, I'm not even exaggerating...days!!! These are just some of the things I have had to deal with in the last 2 weeks alone.
I will be glad when it's all done... if that ever happens!

How frustrating! I have heard people say that after building a house once, they will never build again because it is so frustrating.

But soon you will be in your house and you will look back and laugh at how silly it all was...maybe? Probably not. lol.
